While most people think that regulations are meant to keep the customer safe, they are actually the means of creating huge, monolithic corporations which are not beholden to their customer’s desires. Regulations destroy competition and create monopolies, since smaller companies can often not keep up with the financial requirements and hiring of legal teams necessary to adhere to the ever changing mandates of the State.
