The Sports Department covers UConn basketball, football, soccer, and hockey teams. Students and community members have the opportunity to learn broadcast engineering and announce live play-by-play coverage of UConn athletics, on and off campus! We’ve even sent members of the department to cover UConn’s NCAA National Championship basketball games!
The department meets weekly on Thursday’s at 6:30 PM in the station (SU 412). If you are interested in getting involved or have any questions, email Kate Hoffert at sportsdirector@whus.org. Please check our Instagram for any last-minute cancellations.
